L'Angelore Véjade 2015 VdF
Bright and clear like a ruby port. Heady, fresh, taut. Busted Jura rocks but from the Rhone. Dusted nuts. Cherries in booze. A delicate touch of black skin and seeds. Brambles with razor blades. Tastes like it was perfect on the first dip into the tank.
50% Mourvèdre 50% Grenache From the hills of Vaunage near Nimes on marly soil. Eric Pfifferling knows what he's doing. He works his vines without chemicals, harvests by hand, and avoids all manipulation in the winery, no added yeast, enzymes, or sulfur. Labelled, like all his red, as VdF as the Tavel appellation only certifies Rosé.
